The reason people are buying a PS2 is because they can't afford anything else. The Xbox 360 is more within reach for them as an upgrade than a PS3. Price is the one and only thing that matters to SOME people, and those are the people who are buying PS2's. They know it's not the "best" system anymore, but they can't fork over any more beans for a decent system (PS3 included) That's the only reason the PS2 is still on shelves...they're cheap. Come NEXT generation, that will the 3...
Danny Elfman made Fable so much better because of the ambiance he was able to create. It's nice to hear of a fellow gamer who appreciates a quality soundtrack.

It's the fact the 360 guys love to hear and see the Sony guys WHINING so defensively about it. Even if it is fake, it's still fun to watch the Sony fanboys squirm. (for the record, I'm a 360 owner, but VERY much a Sony supporter too)

I'm not hatin', but how is MS screwing over their customers. All the MS fanboys on this site are thrilled with the option of picking up an Elite model if they so choose. The only people upset about it are the Sony guys (for what reason, I don't know) Again, not hatin', but MS fans still love MS and love what MS is doing.
I have bought several collectors editions of various games, (Lunar 1 & 2, Halo 2, Jade Empire, Gears of Wars, Oblivion.etc) and every time I do, I tell myself I won't do it again because it's a waste of money. $10 or more gets you a gamer pic and a lame "making of" DVD. Bioshock will ROCK, but I don't need to waste more money to play the same game.....but again, the game will rock.
Whats funny is, some people say Halo 3 will be the most overhyped game ever, but I see GTA IV being more so. The game looks fine, but nothing mind blowing...but then again, GTV 3 wasn't mind blowing either. Whether we all agree or not, "next gen" is based on graphics, otherwise it would just be a Xbox/PS2 game. I'm just not impressed graphically...yet (mind you, Rockstar still has plenty of time to work on it)
Why is Ghost House for the Sega Master System the title pic??? That game was great, and the cover was just as awful as most 8-bit game covers...no more, no less.
most of the "gamers" on this site aren't even old to remember any Final Fantasy before FFX. I played Final Fantasy 1-9, and got tired of the series after that. I hope FFXIII can breath new life into the series.
but those same developers who say the Cell is a better chip (which I even agree with, to an extent) also say that the RSX is garbage compared to the 360 GPU. The CPU can only get you so far with a GPU that was outdated over a year ago. That's why BOTH systems have there advantages and disadvantages. ANY developer (unless they work exclusively for Sony) says the power of the 360 GPU is head and shoulders above the PS3.
Like any PC expansion...Burning Crusades, Half life 2 ep. 2. $30 is on par with any MAJOR expansion. Well worth it for anybody who enjoys the game...GOOD JOB BETHESDA!!!
I imagine ALL next gen systems will get some Square love. Final Fantasy IS a great reason to buy a system, and as of NOW (I emphasize "now" because it could change) Squares next MMORPG is exclusive to PC and Xbox 360. PS3 gets XIII, 360 gets MMORPG, Wii may get something.
